2 marbled, leather-bound volumes of 12 issues of the iconic French magazine Réalités dating from 1953.
A remarkable piece of publishing history reflecting the cultural richness of 1950s France including the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom. This is a lovely well preserved collection of this iconic magazine bound in two volumes covered in deep red marble papers and red leather spine. Passionate about preserving the endangered heritage craft of paper marbling I found them in a brocante in the Cognac region of South West France.
Despite the fact they are 72 years old the volumes are in good condition and the magazines inside are well preserved. They would be wonderful pieces of iconic French vintage history to own.
