This one-of-a-kind handmade A5 sketchbook is bound using the elegant Secret Belgian binding method, allowing the book to open beautifully flat while showcasing its exposed stitching.

The front and back covers feature a hand-marbled decorative paper in a floral bouquet pattern, blending soft blues, creams, reds and pinks. Each sheet of marbled paper is created entirely by hand in my studio in South West France, making this book completely unique. The covers are mounted onto a rich red book cloth, giving the book a timeless and tactile finish.

The exposed spine is stitched with waxed blue linen thread (fil de Chine) from Maison Sajou, Paris, while the internal signatures are sewn with a cream linen thread, creating a subtle and harmonious contrast.

Inside, you’ll find 108 pages (54 sheets) of white sketch paper, 120 g/m², 100% recycled and made in France. The paper is ideal for:
pencil
ink and pens
light paint such as gouache
